COACH'S MESSAGE

Message from Feb. 23, 2010
Hi All,

An exciting way to end the District season last night! The boys did a good job holding the lead to the end.

Reminder that we had a practice added for this Thursday. 6:45 pm at Phalen. We are going to work hard on carrying the puck out of the zone and then maybe do a few fun races, etc.

For the tournament this weekend. I'd like the boys to enjoy a bit of the pool, etc. on Friday night but please try to have them settled in no later than 9:30 pm. Saturday morning before the game please don't have them in the pool. We have two games on Saturday and with only two lines we are going to be tired enough after one game, let alone turning around and playing again in the evening.

MANAGER'S MESSAGE

Message from Jan. 19, 2010
Ok, we had overwhelming response for Saturday night so we went ahead and booked the room from 7pm-11pm. If our games conflict, which is not very likely with only 8 teams in the tourney, I will reschedule - but I didn't want to wait and have someone else book the space.

Kids eat free will apply (I believe there are limitations i.e. must be accompanied by a paying adult, but I think we will not have much of a problem there). $150 minimum on the food for the adults - again, I don't foresee that as a problem.

So far getting the room for free and purchasing food from Perkins is leading in the votes, with the aside that snacks/munchies could still be brought to tide us through the rest of the tourney weekend. Unless I get enough people wanting otherwise, we will proceed with that plan.

I can get a list started and anyone who likes can sign up for something they'd be willing to bring - unless we decide with the Perkins plan that we don't need to bring any snacks. You can also e-mail me and I will add your item to the list.

I think this gets us pretty far with the food planning - does anyone have any thoughts on games, activities, etc.?

So far we have April Anderson offering to do room signs, and Paul Schultz has offered to bring a polar bear mascot outfit to take pics with the kids in. (Does anyone have a mascot-sized Polar jersey??)

Any other ideas? I'm guessing the kids will want to swim quite a bit, but maybe we coordinate to bring a few Wiis or Playstations along...

Any rooms not reserved with a personal credit card will be cancelled and released back to the hotel on January 23, 2010. Once you reserve the room, if you need to cancel it for any reason, you must cancel it by 4:00pm on Feb 26 or you WILL be charged for the room.

There WILL be a fee for entry. The prices are below:

$20.00 for a weekend family pass
$10.00 for a single weekend pass
$5.00 for a daily pass.
4 rostered coaches and the skaters are free.

If you are interested in purchasing a t-shirt, turn in your order plus a check to "Squirt C White" or "Nicole Ozel" by February 9th. We will send one order in to the tournament. Please note - these t-shirts are available only through the pre-order, there will be no t-shirts available during the tournament.
